Cardi B, despite celebrating big achievements and experiencing personal growth, didn’t have the easiest time as a 32-year-old. It was a year filled with tension, public disputes, and emotional pressure. During this period, she filed for divorce from Offset, her husband of nearly seven years.
Although she successfully won her assault lawsuit against former security guard Emani Ellis, the case took a heavy toll. The $24 million at stake created enormous stress, and the legal battle caused her to miss her children’s first days back at school.
But as of Saturday, October 11, Cardi has officially entered her 33rd year and seems ready to leave the chaos behind. She hinted at a fresh start in her birthday post on Instagram, as reported by Complex.
“Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes! Every one normally makes their new year resolution on Jan 1st but I made mine last night! Im feeling lucky but most of all blessed! Year 32 was a year I’ll never forget!” she wrote in her caption.

She added, “[winking face emoji] 33 is the Jesus year and I must say I never felt so covered and so protected by the man above himself. He never fails to remind me that I’m chosen and that I’m anointed and that’s the best gift I could ever ask for. Thank you all for supporting me and loving me! I love yall back!”
While Cardi is hoping this next year will be more peaceful, she’s already facing a new lawsuit, this time over copyright infringement.
Beyond the legal matters, feuds have been a constant part of her public life. She found herself clashing with figures like Joe Budden, Nicki Minaj, BIA, Ice Spice, and JT throughout the year. Some of these conflicts were reignited by her fiery album AM I THE DRAMA?, with BIA being one of the most recent names at the center of it all.
BIA, however, has expressed that she’s ready to move on. “This isn’t even about her, this is really about real artists. Like, the artists that get up and go to the studio and care about the creative and do their work and have limited resources. I’m speaking for them. This is not even about her anymore. This is like, I’m anti-machine. [...] I would be doing a disservice to myself with everything I’ve put into this album, making this about her. I could just go and I could drop something at any time. That came a year ago, I dropped that record a year ago. I would be doing a disservice to myself, I’ll say that,” she said on The Breakfast Club.
