DJ Akademiks and Lil Baby have been at odds recently, with tensions between the two continuing to build. The relationship between them has clearly soured, and Akademiks has even gone as far as urging some of his preferred artists to avoid collaborating with Baby.
Lil Baby has also shown he is not a fan of Akademiks, creating a back and forth rivalry that does not seem close to ending. Recently, Lil Baby was spotted in Atlanta where he appeared to be filming a new music video.
During the shoot, Baby delivered a pointed line, saying, “Fuck Akademiks that n***a the feds." The accusation is one that Akademiks has faced before from various critics. After hearing the bar, Akademiks quickly responded in a very direct way.
DJ Akademiks Speaks Out
"Half of Atlanta rappers documented on audio tape telling to cops including half the n**s he still call “TWIN” … is this n*a stupid … if I’m the Feds… young thug the lieutenant I report to him," Akademiks wrote.
The exchange adds another layer to the ongoing tension between the two personalities, showing that neither side appears interested in backing down. Akademiks in particular has a history of extending online disputes, often pushing them until the conversation dies out or the other party stops engaging.
As for Lil Baby, it remains unclear how or if he will follow up on his latest jab. For now, his occasional shots seem to be landing effectively, with Akademiks consistently responding in return.
At this point, it does not seem likely that the two will reconcile anytime soon. While anything is possible in the future, the current situation suggests the rivalry is set to continue for the foreseeable time being.
