The coach tickets for Glastonbury 2027 went on sale last night (Thursday October 1) and sold out in under 30 minutes – check out what fans had to say below.
The first wave of tickets for the 2027 instalment for the Worthy Farm festival went live at 6pm BST yesterday, and saw countless fans eagerly joining the long virtual queue to try and nab theirs.
The upcoming edition of Glastonbury will be the first back following a fallow year in 2026, and will take place between Wednesday, June 23 and Sunday, June 27.
Towards the start of last month, organisers confirmed that coach and ticket packages would go on sale at 6pm BST on October 1, followed by standard tickets at 9am BST on Sunday, October 4. For the first time in Glastonbury’s history, prices have surpassed the £400 mark for each ticket – with general admission tickets costing £408 each, including a £5 booking fee.
Now, the first sale has taken place, and fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the sale process – with some ecstatic to be heading to the festival, while others have been left frustrated by the newly tweaked ticketing process.
This year, there was an extra step in place where customers had to enter their registration code to gain access to the virtual queue. From there, they were shown a long line of black bars, which would gradually turn green as they got closer to the front.
Those trying to get tickets could only use their registration code once to enter the queue, too. Hopefuls who tried to enter it on multiple devices to improve their chances found that they were given the same queue ID and same position in the line – or worse, received the dreaded ‘error’ page.
Taking to social media, it was the ‘green bar’ system that sparked the most discussion, with a huge number of people saying that they were stuck on “two bars” for the full 30 minutes.
A notification then popped up on the screen to confirm that tickets were sold out – around the same time it took for coach and ticket packages to be snapped for the 2025 festival.
That same year, the Sunday general sale lasted 35 minutes, with the spring resale lasting just 19 minutes.
“Two bars and no movement for two min? I fear I’m cooked already,” one person wrote on Reddit last night, while someone said they’d prefer to see an actual number: “Honestly I’d rather they just told me ‘there’s 50 million people in front of you in the queue, loser’ so I can save 25 minutes of my life.”
“I feel like this bar system would only be fun if you could suddenly accelerate. If it’s just a visual representation of the number position in the queue, I think I’d rather just see that so I could more happily give up,” someone else chimed in, while someone else tried to work out if having “12 bars” would still give them a chance of getting tickets before they inevitably sold out: “I think you need 40ish bars. Last year they sold out in 30 mins. This means I’ll finish on 20 bars. Will this stop me from staring at my screen for 40 mins? Absolutely not.”
Others were left frustrated that they couldn’t try and use the code from different devices to try and get different spots in the queue.
“In short, I joined the queue like everyone else using my registration number at around 5:45pm. I thought I’d be clever and ask my syndicate (of 6) to also enter my registration number using their incognito browsers. Thinking it would increase our chances,” one person on Reddit explained, sharing that it led to their device glitching.
“Queue progressed as normal, I got to the front at around 6:14pm and then instead of progressing to the booking page I got the following error message. Everyone else who had my booking also got the same error. Think I’m going to need a miracle to get tickets on Sunday.”
Some others also shared a similar experience, and warned those trying on Sunday to try with “one device, one browser, [and] one queue entry. Just like the instructions tell you, otherwise you risk losing your place in the queue.”
While some questioned “why do I do this to myself every year?”, not everyone struggled, however, with some describing it as their “best” time attempting to get tickets yet, and praising it as the “easiest queue of my life”.

Early bookies’ favourites for the Pyramid Stage next summer include the likes of Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Little Simz. Other rumoured names for topping the bill include Harry Styles, Radiohead, Fontaines D.C., Muse and The Rolling Stones. The latter comes after Mick Jagger and Keith Richards both suggested that the band could return to touring in 2027. They headlined Glastonbury for the only time in 2013.
Earlier this summer, organiser Emily Eavis ruled out another heavily rumoured headliner Madonna, who had been strongly rumoured to be performing after the release of her new album ‘Confessions II’. Liam Gallagher also recently ruled out any chance of Oasis headlining Worthy Farm next year, despite them previously being the bookies’ favourites to top the bill at 4/1, as did Emily Eavis.
Ronnie Wood recently told NME that he would love to play at Glasto ’27 at the “drop of a hat” but isn’t sure whether or not the rest of the band feel the same way.
Last year’s instalment of the Worthy Farm festival saw The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo headline the iconic Pyramid Stage. Other performances came from the likes of Charli XCX, Wolf Alice, Rod Stewart, Doechii and Kneecap.
