MUNA’s Tour Bus Goes Up in Flames

A tour bus transporting members of MUNA caught fire on a motorway in Burbank, California, on Monday.

Local news channel KTLA filmed the incident, reporting that the fire had forced the closure of several lanes on the busy highway.

According to the outlet, the driver was unaware that the vehicle had caught fire. The California Highway Patrol received a report of a bus ablaze on the southbound freeway at 8 am. The vehicle eventually stopped on an off-ramp, where firefighters from the Burbank Fire Department extinguished the flames.

MUNA posted an image from KTLA's report on social media, accompanied by the caption, "The band MUNA as seen on the news this morning."

The band also confirmed that "many personal items were lost, but we're all safe, thank goodness".

Responding in the comments, band member Naomi McPherson wrote, "If anyone could help me find the grandchild of the warlock whose curse is wreaking havoc on my life so that I can carry 'em up the mountain and fulfil the prophecy / undo the curse that has befallen me that would be much appreciated."

In September, the indie pop and synth-pop group revealed that McPherson, who performs on guitar and synths and also sings, would be absent from several tour dates to care for their mother, Harriet, who was nearing the end of her battle with cancer.

McPherson has since returned to touring, according to Billboard, joining the Gets So Hot Tour, which began on 25 September. MUNA are scheduled to travel to Europe in November for a month of live shows.

Another Person Reportedly Linked to Death of Teen Found in D4vd’s Car

A second individual has reportedly been linked to the investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the 15 year old whose body was discovered in the trunk of singer D4vd's Tesla in September.

According to TMZ, LAPD homicide detectives have reportedly traced the unidentified person's phone and social media data to a location in the Hollywood Hills during the same period that Rivas Hernandez is believed to have died.

Los Angeles criminal defence attorney Mark Geragos discussed the development on TMZ's 2 Angry Men podcast, suggesting that the individual may have been inside the singer's vehicle where the teenager's body was discovered.

Geragos also confirmed through sources that investigators are examining a late night trip D4vd allegedly made to a remote area of Santa Barbara County last spring, which has emerged as a significant part of the case.

The ‘Romantic Homicide’ singer is himself reportedly being investigated as a suspect in Rivas Hernandez's death. Police sources previously told Los Angeles television station KABC that detectives were focusing on the songwriter and investigating whether he may have been involved after the teenager's badly decomposed remains were discovered in Los Angeles.

The medical examiner is still working to establish the exact cause of death. However, the condition of Rivas Hernandez's remains has reportedly complicated the process and delayed the determination.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case, and the reported links to a second individual have not been confirmed by authorities.
