Putting his own twist on one of the most classic mixtape brands in history, acclaimed Brooklyn rap phenomenon Clyde Guevara links up with the iconic DJ Drama for his very own 486 Columbia St. Gangsta Grillz Mixtape. It’s available now via Republic Records. Listen to Clyde x DJ Drama 486 Columbia St. Gangsta Grillz Mixtape—HERE.
Last year, legendary producer NoID [JAY-Z, Kanye West] aligned Clyde with Don Cannon and DJ Drama. Holed up in the studio in Los Angeles, the buzzing MC locked into an unbreakable groove and delivered the nine tracks on this tape. He bulldozed a path for it with “Old Me,” which arrived to plugs from HotNewHipHop and more.
Now, anthems like the standout “Jedi” showcase Clyde at the height of his powers. Between soulful horns and a smoky beat, his dynamic rhymes bob and weave towards a hypnotic hook. Elsewhere, he gets intensely emotional on “Nauseous,” while “Still Hott” sums up his state of mind.
About working with Clyde DJ Drama said, “Clyde’s sound is refreshing and exciting. Reminded me of what I grew up loving but with a sound straight outta 2030.” Don Cannon added, “there is no disputing the vivid songwriting that Clyde brings to the game. He will be a force in the rap game in 3,2,1.”

Grind yields results. The harder you hustle, the greater the rewards you reap. Clyde Guevara initially entered the rap arena back in 2017. From the first moment he pressed “record,” the Brooklyn rapper simply never stopped, inching closer and closer to triumph with every subsequent release. He dedicated “Distorted Skylines” to his brother Jah who passed away. In Jah’s memory, he dropped 2018’s FreeJAH to acclaim from HYPEBEAST, Noisey, Complex, and NPR. Signing to Republic Records in 2021, he unleashed the 75 Bush St pack. Meanwhile, legendary producer NoID [JAY-Z, Kanye West] went as far to christen him, “a breath of fresh air.” DJ Drama noted, “Clyde’s sound is refreshing and exciting. Reminded me of what I grew up loving but with a sound straight outta 2030.” While Don Cannon added, “there is no disputing the vivid songwriting that Clyde brings to the game. He will be a force in the rap game in 3,2,1.” However, he keeps grinding through 2022 with his Clyde Guevara x DJ Drama 486 Columbia St. Gangsta Grillz Mixtape and much more to come.
