Kendrick Lamar's Fiancée Whitney Alford Will Appear In "Not Like Us" Video

Kendrick Lamar is really building up the anticipation. The rapper played "Not Like Us" five times during his "Pop Out" show on Juneteenth. He followed that staggering performance with a music video shoot in Compton. An official release date for the "Not Like Us" video has not yet been announced. That said, the rapper has blessed us with teaser photos from the anticipated video. Some of them are predictable, like crowd shots of Compton citizens. Others, however, are a bit more surprising.

One of the most striking photos released in relation to the video is Kendrick Lamar and his family. The rapper can be seen posing alongside his fiancee, Whitney Alford, and their two children. All four of them are staring into the camera. It's a pose that evokes the artwork for To Pimp a Butterfly or the collector's edition of DAMN, given the stark, black-and-white color scheme. Those who have been following the K. Dot and Drake beef, however, know that Alford's presence is huge. Drake accused Lamar of abusing his fiancee and being estranged from his family on "Family Matters." He also alleged that Lamar's son was actually fathered by his manager, Dave Free.

Kendrick Lamar's Kids Also Appear In The Teaser Photos

Whitney Alford has not commented on these accusations. She has, however, shown support for Kendrick Lamar since the beef "ended." Alford attended the aforementioned "Pop Out" show. She was spotted in the audience alongside her two children. She also, famously, provided narration for Lamar on the 2022 double album, Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers. The rapper delved into his various failings as a partner on the album, especially when it came to infidelities. Alford and Lamar have not aired out their situation via social media, so it's unclear what their current dynamic is.

Alford's presence, however, does step on what Drake was trying to achieve with his diss tracks. The 6 God clearly wanted to paint a picture of Kendrick Lamar as being a bad partner and father. The fact that his entire family is on hand, and appearing in the "Not Like Us" music video, though, takes the wind out of whatever was left in the "Family Matters" sails. Behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot also suggests that Lamar called on his former TDE label mates to make cameos. He's bringing everybody to this party, it seems.

Liam Gallagher jokes about joint Blur tour, fuels speculation of Manic Street Preachers or Richard Ashcroft supporting Oasis

Liam Gallagher has been teasing fans about who the support will be for the upcoming Oasis reunion tour dates in the UK.

Fans have been speculating who will be opening for the Britpop legends on their highly-awaited reunion shows after it was reported last month that Liam was seeking “established acts” to support them on tour. So far, support has only been announced for the North American leg, which will see Cage The Elephant join for all dates – visit here to buy tickets.

Various names have been flying around since the band confirmed their comeback, and earlier in the year, when a fan on X/Twitter asked if Richard Ashcroft would be supporting Oasis at their 2025 live showsLiam replied: “That would be BIBLICAL”.

Now, Liam’s once again taken to Twitter/X to fan the flames of fan rumours, further suggesting Ashcroft will be joining the bill, but also teasing that Blur and Manic Street Preachers may be heading out on the road with them.

Responding to one fan suggesting Damon Albarn and co. should open for them, Liam wrote about his former Britpop rivals: “I love blur and at sone point we have to do n old dears tours.”

Later, he seemed to ask fans to weigh in, writing: “Richard Ashcroft or Manic street preachers as support”, before adding shortly after: “the manics it is”.

However, he went on to write: “Only kidding we never set sail without the 1 and only RICARDO he’s our boy from day DOT come aboard Rkid.”

Ashcroft has a long history with Oasis, serving as the inspiration behind their 1995 hit ‘Cast No Shadow’. During a Select interview that year, Noel Gallagher said: “I always felt he was born at the wrong time and in the wrong place, and he was always trying to say the right things, but they came out wrong.”

He also enlisted Liam for a collaboration on his 2022 hit ‘C’mon People (We’re Making It Now)’, and appeared as a special guest when he headlined Finsbury Park in 2018.

Meanwhile, Manic Street Preachers supported Oasis during their iconic Knebworth 1995 shows. The band also teased new material in August, sharing a clip of new music on their social media and leading fans to think they could be enlisted again for the upcoming shows.

Elsewhere, Blossoms recently spoke to NME about the possibility of supporting the Britpop legends. The Tom Ogden-led band have just released their fifth album ‘Gary‘, which saw a gaggle of famous Garys unite to promote the record. Ogden has said that “nothing has been discussed, nothing has been asked,” adding: “I don’t think they’ll sort it out until next year.”

Oasis initially began teasing their reunion following Liam Gallagher’s headline set at Reading Festival by sharing a mysterious date on their screens. Blossoms also shared the same teaser on their big concert screens as Liam and Noel at their Wythenshawe Park gig, prompting speculation that they might have something to do with the reunion.

“I’d like to think our name might be in the mix because why not?,” he continued. “We’ve never shied away from saying how much they’ve influenced us. We went to watch them at Heaton Park when we were 16, and we kind of know them both.

“I’m not going to get my hopes up, though, because, at the end of the day, it’s up to them. If we get asked, the bags are packed, and we’d smash it.”
