Fashion Nova Clowns Drake With "BBL Drizzy" Halloween Costume

Drake is Mr. OVO. Halloween Gang. October's Very Own. He's repped the season since day one, and has made it a defining part of his persona. Unfortunately, the fallout from his battle with Kendrick Lamar has yet to die down. The rapper may be trying to move forward, but companies are still looking to go viral by capitalizing on the battle. Case in point: Fashion Nova. The popular retail company is selling Halloween costumes on their website, and one in particular is a direct dig at the Champagne Papi.

The costume is billed as a "BBL Booty Butt Pad Costume Accessory." Nondescript enough, right? Well, the photos the accompany the costume tell a different story. They feature a man wearing a black hoodie and sporting a hairstyle eerily similar to the one Drake currently rocks. If that wasn't enough, the man is wearing multi-color hair clips. You know, the same exact ones Drake wore in the music video for "8AM In Charlotte." Did we mention that the hoodie says "Papi" on the front, effectively riffing on one of 6 God's oldest nicknames? There's plausible deniability, but this is about as blatant as one can be without saying the person's name outright.

Drake's alleged "BBL" procedure was a constant point of mockery during the first half of the year. It was something that Kendrick Lamar and Rick Ross hammered home on their respective diss tracks. Ross was actually the first one to level cosmetic surgery allegations at Drizzy on "Champagne Moments." "I know you got your Dockers on with no underwear, white boy," he said during the song's outro. "Yeah, you had that surgery, that six-pack gone. That's why you wearin' that funny sh*t at your show, you can't hide it."

Kendrick Lamar, meanwhile, had a more clever bar on "Euphoria." "Yeah, my first one like my last one, it's a classic, you don't have one," he spit. "Let your core audience stomach that, then tell 'em where you get your abs from." The notion that Drake doesn't have a classic is silly, but the punchline still landed. Metro Boomin crystalized the "BBL Drizzy" meme, though, when he made a beat under the same name and urged aspiring artists to hop on it and diss Drake. The beat was extremely catchy, and the "BBL Drizzy" challenge went viral. We can't imagine a ton of people are going to purchase the accompanying Fashion Nova costume, though.

Liam Gallagher jokes about joint Blur tour, fuels speculation of Manic Street Preachers or Richard Ashcroft supporting Oasis

Liam Gallagher has been teasing fans about who the support will be for the upcoming Oasis reunion tour dates in the UK.

Fans have been speculating who will be opening for the Britpop legends on their highly-awaited reunion shows after it was reported last month that Liam was seeking “established acts” to support them on tour. So far, support has only been announced for the North American leg, which will see Cage The Elephant join for all dates – visit here to buy tickets.

Various names have been flying around since the band confirmed their comeback, and earlier in the year, when a fan on X/Twitter asked if Richard Ashcroft would be supporting Oasis at their 2025 live showsLiam replied: “That would be BIBLICAL”.

Now, Liam’s once again taken to Twitter/X to fan the flames of fan rumours, further suggesting Ashcroft will be joining the bill, but also teasing that Blur and Manic Street Preachers may be heading out on the road with them.

Responding to one fan suggesting Damon Albarn and co. should open for them, Liam wrote about his former Britpop rivals: “I love blur and at sone point we have to do n old dears tours.”

Later, he seemed to ask fans to weigh in, writing: “Richard Ashcroft or Manic street preachers as support”, before adding shortly after: “the manics it is”.

However, he went on to write: “Only kidding we never set sail without the 1 and only RICARDO he’s our boy from day DOT come aboard Rkid.”

Ashcroft has a long history with Oasis, serving as the inspiration behind their 1995 hit ‘Cast No Shadow’. During a Select interview that year, Noel Gallagher said: “I always felt he was born at the wrong time and in the wrong place, and he was always trying to say the right things, but they came out wrong.”

He also enlisted Liam for a collaboration on his 2022 hit ‘C’mon People (We’re Making It Now)’, and appeared as a special guest when he headlined Finsbury Park in 2018.

Meanwhile, Manic Street Preachers supported Oasis during their iconic Knebworth 1995 shows. The band also teased new material in August, sharing a clip of new music on their social media and leading fans to think they could be enlisted again for the upcoming shows.

Elsewhere, Blossoms recently spoke to NME about the possibility of supporting the Britpop legends. The Tom Ogden-led band have just released their fifth album ‘Gary‘, which saw a gaggle of famous Garys unite to promote the record. Ogden has said that “nothing has been discussed, nothing has been asked,” adding: “I don’t think they’ll sort it out until next year.”

Oasis initially began teasing their reunion following Liam Gallagher’s headline set at Reading Festival by sharing a mysterious date on their screens. Blossoms also shared the same teaser on their big concert screens as Liam and Noel at their Wythenshawe Park gig, prompting speculation that they might have something to do with the reunion.

“I’d like to think our name might be in the mix because why not?,” he continued. “We’ve never shied away from saying how much they’ve influenced us. We went to watch them at Heaton Park when we were 16, and we kind of know them both.

“I’m not going to get my hopes up, though, because, at the end of the day, it’s up to them. If we get asked, the bags are packed, and we’d smash it.”
