SZA has released ‘Lana’, the reissue of her 2022 album ‘SOS’ – and it includes a Kendrick Lamar feature.
This week, the singer revealed that the long-awaited Lana would arrive today (December 20). She first began teasing the album last year, and announced earlier this month that it would be the deluxe version of ‘SOS’ rather than a standalone album.
Some fans had anticipated waking up to ‘Lana’ this morning, with SZA writing on her Instagram Stories last night, “FULL DELUXE OUT TOMORROW AM. On the 20th! Just needed a few more hours for new mixes to ingest evenly across all platforms.. (mixes are important) love you camp.”
Meanwhile, her manager, Terrence “Punch” Henderson, said on X (Twitter) that it would be out at 12pm PT/3pm ET/8pm GMT.
SZA – ‘Lana’ tracklist:
- ‘No More Hiding’
- ‘What Do I Do’
- ‘30 For 30’ (with Kendrick Lamar)
- ‘Diamond Boy (DTM)’
- ‘BMF’
- ‘Scorsese Baby Daddy’
- ‘Love Me 4 Me’
- ‘Chill Baby’
- ‘My Turn’
- ‘Crybaby’
- ‘Kitchen’
- ‘Get Behind Me (Interlude)’
- ‘Drive’
- ‘Another Life’
- ‘Saturn’
Earlier today, she shared a music video for her new single ‘Drive’, which she confirmed would be on the record. The video stars actor Ben Stiller, while SZA herself also makes an appearance in a bug-like form, reminiscent of the album cover. ‘Saturn’, which she released back in February, is also on the album.
And, after SZA appeared on Kendrick Lamar’s surprise album ‘GNX’ last month and announced a joint North American tour with him for next year, Lamar has returned the favour with a feature on ‘Lana’.
They duet on ‘30 For 30’, while there’s also production from Lil Yachty and Benny Blanco on one song each. The other collaborators on the album are mostly those she worked with on ‘SOS’, including Michael Uzowuru, ThankGod4Cody, Rob Bisel and Carter Lang.

When ‘SOS‘ was released two years ago, it received acclaim from critics, as well as nine Grammy nominations. It hit Number One on the Billboard 200 and Number Two on the UK Single Chart, also being certified 3x Platinum in the US.
In a five-star review of ‘SOS’, NME described it as “a comeback album well worth the wait,” adding: “I’m making the best album of my life for this next album,” SZA told Flaunt in 2020 and ‘SOS’ is just that – a phenomenal record that barely puts a foot wrong and raises the bar even higher than she set it before. That quote, though, came with a caveat: “Because it’s going to be my last album.” Here’s hoping SZA reneges on that declaration but, if this is the last we hear from here, at least she’s going out on the highest of highs.”
