Tony Buzbee Gains The Upper Hand Over Jay-Z & His Attorney Alex Spiro In Judge's New Ruling

The explosive drama around the anonymous sexual assault lawsuit against Jay-Z and Diddy continues to leave some stains on the holiday season. Moreover, per reporter Meghann Cuniff, Judge Torres recently made a crucial decision in her latest ruling on this case that concerns the Roc Nation boss' attempts to reveal his accuser's identity. For those unaware, Hov and his legal team – mainly his attorney Alex Spiro – attempted to dismiss this case as quickly as possible and launched many accusations of extortion, defamation, unethical practices, and more against the plaintiff's lawyer, Tony Buzbee. But it seems like they will have to actually see this play out in court.

"Carter's lawyer's relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client," the court's ruling on the Jay-Z, Alex Spiro, and Tony Buzbee debacle reads in part. "The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it." In addition, Judge Torres also pointed out the various areas in which Spiro failed to follow the court's rules, as that's exactly what he and the Brooklyn rapper accused Buzbee of doing.

Judge Rules In Favor Of Tony Buzbee In Jay-Z Lawsuit

Furthermore, this adds to a lot of other legal moves, accusations, and character attacks that emerged in this war between Jay-Z, Alex Spiro, Tony Buzbee, and his client. Buzbee himself faces a litany of lawsuits from former clients or folks on the other side of the courtroom, and they range from scandalous gossip to more contractual complaints concerning his alleged business and legal practice ethics. On Jay's end, there are similarly heavy claims. Of course, it's hard to call exactly how many cases and allegations will actually see a resolution. We'll have to see how fast or slow 2025 moves along in the courtroom.

Meanwhile, this legal combat between Jay-Z's team and Tony Buzbee's camp also threatens sanctions against the latter, which he vehemently opposed and advocated against. Even if we don't have a lot of concrete updates to talk about, at least we have this one. It seems like this will continue to go forth in court until further notice, and everyone's waiting for more concrete information.

Beyoncé Is Joined By Blue Ivy At Christmas Halftime Show, Teases Big Announcement

image

Houston, TX - Beyoncé‘s halftime show during the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans game on Christmas Day became a family affair when she was joined by eldest daughter, Blue Ivy.

The Christmas Day special, which aired on Netflix, was a showcase for her country themed Cowboy Carter album and featured the live debut of several songs from the LP.

Near the end of the set, as she was about to launch into “Texas Hold Em”, Queen B was joined by Blue Ivy for a line-dancing sequence and mother and daughter could be seen linking arms for a dance while dressed in all white.

Blue Ivy wasn’t the only guest during the performance as Beyoncé was joined by Post Malone for a rendition of their collaboration “Levii’s Jeans” while Shaboozey had earlier dueted on “Sweet ★ Honey ★ Buckiin”.

Shortly after the performance finished, Beyoncé went on to tease a big announcement on social media.

Alongside a video of the iconic singer sitting on a white horse waving a large American flag, the caption on the post read: “Look at that horse.”

The clip then cut to a date which read January 14.

While no more information was revealed, speculation has spread that Bey could unveil a tour or even a new album.

It’s been a merry Christmas for the “Single Ladies” legend as she recently received 58 new certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for albums and singles spanning her entire solo career.

Among them were two Diamond certifications (for sales of 10 million units), both for tracks that appear on her 2008 LP I Am… Sasha Fierce. “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and “Halo” both vaulted past the 10 million mark to land at 11 times platinum (11 million units).

With sales like these for a catalog dating back to 2003 (not to mention another slew of Gold, Platinum, and multi-Platinum certifications for her work with Destiny’s Child), it’s no wonder that the singer was recently named the greatest pop star of the 21st century by Billboard.
