Lil Uzi Vert sends Christmas gifts to fans who wrote to them

Lil Uzi Vert has once again shown that they truly are for the people. Much like Santa Claus, the Philadelphia artist proved that spirit by replying to fan letters and surprising supporters with gifts they asked for this Christmas. As spotted by Complex, Uzi shared several heartfelt messages on social media from fans who opened up about how much the music has meant to them.

One young fan named Jackson asked for a signed skateboard, and Uzi made sure it happened while also letting him know how meaningful his letter was. “Thank you so much for taking the time out of your beautiful life to check up on me and tell me how much I mean to you.”

The hitmaker added, “Here is my skateboard. Learn some tricks and send videos. Remember you’re younger than me so you have time to be better than me...” before joking a bit more. “Oh, yea, our handwriting looks similar... you should work on that LOVE YOU [red heart emoji fire emoji] COR(E).”

Another supporter named Drake happened to be working on a school assignment that required him to write an “outrageous” letter and ask for any gift he wanted. He requested either two tickets to a future show or a silver diamond chain.

While Uzi did not go through with those specific requests, they still came through with a thoughtful surprise by buying him a pair of Balenciaga glasses.

Vert also included a personal note in response, writing, “Wassup twin, so listen I really appreciate you hittin me up... especially around the holidays... that’s so real.” They continued, “You told me you wanted a chain with diamonds. I really thought hard about it. I went to the jewelry store and looked at some stuff and was like ‘nahhhhhhhh, hold on, twin don’t even have balenciaga glasses yet.’ So we gonna start here. Love you bro [glasses emoji red heart emoji] COR(E).”

It is easy to imagine how moments like this made Christmas even more memorable for those fans, which makes the gesture all the more special.

Lil Uzi has also been showing generosity on the music front lately. If you have not been keeping up, they are essentially operating as an independent artist now, while still holding a distribution deal with Roc Nation.

That shift has allowed the “Money Mitch” songwriter to release music at a rapid pace over the past month. Their most recent drop was the Jersey club inspired “What You Saying,” which arrived alongside a music video featuring fashion icons such as Marc Jacobs.

And the run may not be slowing down anytime soon. Uzi hinted at more to come in an Instagram Story on Wednesday, writing, “Might as well keep going. I feel really good but I luv y’all. I’m so happy 1M thank y’all so much. Gotta give thanks 2 the cor(e).”

Could this be a sign that an album is on the way?

Turning Point USA reveals performers for its All-American Halftime Show

As Super Bowl LX approaches on Feb. 8, millions of viewers are preparing to watch the New England Patriots take on the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This year’s game will also feature a headline halftime performance from Billboard 200 chart topper and Grammy winner Bad Bunny.

Fans looking for an alternative option will also have Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” which is scheduled for the same day. The conservative nonprofit confirmed that the event will feature performances from Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert and Gabby Barrett. After weeks of speculation, TPUSA officially revealed the lineup today across its social media platforms.

When the NFL confirmed Bad Bunny as this year’s halftime headliner, the Puerto Rican superstar shared a statement through the league saying, “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown…this is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”

Bad Bunny also made history at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 1, when his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos became the first Spanish language project to win album of the year. He collected two additional awards that night, taking home trophies for best música urbana album and best global music performance for “EoO.”

His selection as the Super Bowl halftime performer sparked backlash from some conservative commentators and President Donald Trump, who said he would skip the game and criticized both Bad Bunny and Green Day, who are set to open the Game Day ceremonies. “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible,” Trump told the New York Post. Bad Bunny, who was born in Puerto Rico and is an American citizen, primarily performs in Spanish and is expected to do so during the halftime show.

During his hosting stint on Saturday Night Live in October 2025, Bad Bunny addressed viewers in Spanish before adding, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.”

That same month, Turning Point USA, founded by activist Charlie Kirk, announced plans to stage a “counterprogram” to the NFL’s official halftime show. While the concept was unveiled in October, the organization kept the performer lineup under wraps until this week.

On Instagram Stories, Gilbert reposted Turning Point USA’s announcement and wrote, “Y’all don’t wanna miss this,” while Barrett, Kid Rock and Lee also shared the promotional graphic for the event.

Barrett previously scored a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “I Hope” in late 2020 and later topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart twice with “I Hope” in 2020 and “The Good Ones” in 2021. Brice has notched eight No. 1 Country Airplay hits, most recently with “Memory I Don’t Mess With” in 2021, and earned a Grammy nomination for best country solo performance for “I Drive Your Truck.” Gilbert has achieved five No. 1 Country Airplay chart singles, while Kid Rock reached the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 in 2003 with “Picture” and has received five Grammy nominations over his career.

Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show will be livestreamed on the organization’s official social media accounts, including X and Rumble. The broadcast will also air through outlets such as The Daily Wire and Trinity Broadcasting Network.
