Jessica Alba has shared that she felt “full body chills” while standing on stage during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The actress looked back on her appearance in Sunday’s spectacle, which paid tribute to Puerto Rican pride while highlighting messages of unity and inclusion.

Jessica joined a number of well known faces on stage, including Pedro Pascal, Karol G and Cardi B, during a segment of the performance set inside a casita.

Posting on Instagram the following day, the Fantastic Four actress described the experience as a true privilege.

"What an honor to be part of such an extraordinary moment in history!" she wrote. "La casita let's gooooo!"

"Joy you could feel. Pride you could see," she continued. "A beautiful love letter to Puerto Rico and to all of America. Yesterday was bigger than a performance. It was Dignity. Inclusion. Unity. Representation. And Love."

Jessica then opened up about how deeply the moment affected her.

"Benito 'Bad Bunny' tells stories rooted in his culture, his people, and his truth and yesterday, those stories were centered on one of the biggest stages in the world," she shared. "Watching him honor the diversity of our community gave me full body chills and was so emotional. Some of the most meaningful moments don't need explanation or translation you just feel them."

The Good Luck Chuck star said the night was ultimately about celebration, writing, "Because when culture is honored instead of erased, when people are seen instead of sidelined, we become one."

She wrapped up her message by echoing the words displayed at the close of the show, adding, "Above all, as Benito has said, 'The only thing more powerful than hate is love.' Love, joy, and unity this is how we rise."

Bad Bunny also surprised viewers by welcoming Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin to join him during the performance.

Charlie Puth Kicks Off Super Bowl 2026 With Anthem Rendition

image

Charlie Puth opened Super Bowl LX on Sunday February 8 with a choral performance of the US National Anthem. Watch the moment below.

The singer and songwriter delivered the anthem from behind a Rhodes keyboard, accompanied by a choir and full orchestra, ahead of the New England Patriots facing off against the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

As the final notes rang out and Air Force jets passed overhead in the traditional flyover, Puth paused to look skyward and soak in the scale of the moment.

His appearance set the stage for Bad Bunny’s halftime show, which later saw the Puerto Rican icon command the field with dozens of dancers and an ambitious sequence of theatrical set pieces. The performance moved through elaborate scenes including spinning salsa ballrooms and towering telephone pylons. Pedro Pascal, Cardi B, Jessica Alba and Karol G were spotted among the dancers, while Bad Bunny appeared to present one of the three Grammys he won last week to a young boy.

Lady Gaga made an unexpected cameo, performing a Latin version of her Bruno Mars collaboration ‘Die With A Smile’, joined by Bad Bunny’s backing band Los Pleneros de la Cresta. Ricky Martin also appeared to introduce ‘El apagón’, incorporating an excerpt of ‘LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii’.

Speaking before the game, Puth previously told Rolling Stone: “I’ve always wanted to do this. I just want to prove that I can.”

“I feel like sometimes people don’t really see me as a standalone vocalist,” he added. “There’ll be pressure in the week before and right up until the hour before, but once I’m there, it’s going to feel comfortable and it’s going to sound great.”

On the field, the Seattle Seahawks went on to defeat the New England Patriots with a 29 to 13 victory.

Elsewhere, Donald Trump criticised Bad Bunny’s halftime performance, calling it a “slap in the face” to America.

Despite that, artists including Rosalía, Doechii, Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez were among those who publicly praised Bad Bunny’s show.
