Violet Grohl has expanded her upcoming UK tour after what she described as “overwhelming demand”. Check out the updated dates and ticket information below.

The Los Angeles singer songwriter, who is also the daughter of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, released her debut solo album ‘Be Sweet To Me’ in May through Aurora Records and Republic Records.

After first announcing a run of headline shows across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe in April, Grohl later added a second London performance because of strong demand. She has now confirmed that her Manchester concert has been moved to a larger venue, while an additional stop in Brighton has also been added.

Her August 25 performance has been upgraded from Manchester’s Deaf Institute to Band On The Wall. She will also perform at Chalk in Brighton on October 8. Tickets for all dates are available here.

The updated schedule also features two sold out nights at London’s Barfly Camden on September 1 and September 2, alongside performances in Glasgow, Liverpool, Bristol, and Dublin. This summer, she is also set to appear at Reading and Leeds, Electric Picnic, Pukkelpop, and Lowlands.

Earlier this year, Grohl also shared her thoughts on being a young woman in rock music, saying: “I don’t like male musicians my age. I don’t care. They have attitude problems. They’ve been saying this about us for so fucking long. It’s time that they sit down, be quiet and play their music.”

She continued: “The best advice I’ve been given is that it’s OK to say no or that you don’t want to do something. For a lot of women, it took them a really long time to accept and implement that into their lives. It’s inspiring to be around the kinds of people who don’t give a fuck and will say whatever they feel.”

Meanwhile, Dave Grohl revealed several months ago that he had “no idea” his daughter had signed a record deal until she casually told him during dinner.

“I’m totally uninvolved,” he said. “I’m like the dad that wants to be there and know everything and she’s just totally doing her own thing. It’s amazing.”

Alex Warren Says One "Ordinary" Lyric Surprised Even His Wife

image

Alex Warren has revealed that one of the most talked about lyrics in his hit single "Ordinary" has been widely misunderstood, with even his wife, Kouvr Annon, initially thinking it had a much more suggestive meaning.

The 24 year old singer, who first built a massive following on TikTok before topping charts in the UK, the US, and beyond with "Ordinary," admitted that countless listeners have been singing the lyric incorrectly.

Speaking with MTV, Warren explained: "Everyone thinks that lyrics is not what it is. I said, 'Oh my life, how do ya?' As in it will fade into the next thing and to be like, 'You take my breath away, how do you do that?'

"But everyone, including my wife when she first heard the songs, thinks it's 'All my life I'll do ya', in a sexual way...

"And so my wife one day was like, 'Hey by the way my mum listens to this song, why did you write it like this?'"

After hearing so many fans make the same mistake, Warren admitted he has started embracing the misheard version during his live performances.

“I thought it was hilarious as everyone thought it was that and it wasn't, so now I just sing it how everyone thinks!” he laughed.

Despite becoming one of the biggest breakout stars of the past year, Warren said his rapid rise to global success still feels surreal.

“It doesn't feel real and I don't feel like I deserve it in any way,” he admitted.

The singer also reflected on an embarrassing childhood performance that left him being teased by classmates for years. Warren recalled trying to serenade a girl he was dating in fifth grade by performing Bruno Mars' "Grenade," but nerves quickly got the better of him.

“I was in fifth grade and I was dating this girl.

"I decided to sing Grenade by Bruno Mars and dedicate it to her and I remember I walked right out, and I go, 'This is for...' and I said her name.

"But immediately the stage fright hit and I sat there doing a dance, I looked super, super... it was bad, it was really bad.

"And that is what kids made fun of me for all throughout middle school and high school, and I gave up when I turned 18 funny enough. (sic)”
