Scorpions, who formed in 1965, celebrated the 40th anniversary of their 1984 album ‘Love At First Sting’ with a Las Vegas residency earlier this year. They have since played numerous shows across Europe, and made a stop at London’s Wembley Arena in June.
Their 19th and most recent studio album, ‘Rock Believer’, was released in 2022.
In January of this year, former Scorpions drummer James Kottak died at the age of 61. He joined the band in 1996, and contributed to all of their albums from 1999’s ‘Eye II Eye’ to 2015’s ‘Return to Forever’.
He was kicked out of the group for alcoholism in 2016, and subsequently replaced by Motörhead’s Mikkey Dee, who remains in the line-up.
