Big Sean has insisted he is not in a hurry to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Jhené Aiko, despite fans wanting to see the couple get married.

Speaking to TMZ, the Detroit rapper was asked if he felt pressure to marry Aiko given the spotlight on the pair — especially since Aiko had been seen wearing a ring.

He simply responded: “No, I didn’t.”

Sean added: “I don’t think too much about it, man. You know what? Life is short, bro, so you got to do what you feel, you know what I’m saying?”

The 36-year-old then affirmed: “She is the best, though, I’ll tell you that.”

The reporter also asked Sean if Aiko was “the one,” to which he replied: “Of course.”

Big Sean recently sat down with Charlamagne Tha God and explained why he and Jhené Aiko have not yet married, despite them being together for several years and sharing a child.

He said: “There has not been a secret industry marriage. It’s a little personal, but to be real with you, just like any people who have dealt with love, we’ve had our ups and downs. And I think it’s still finding the right navigation through it all.”

The former G.O.O.D. Music MC then explained that he doesn’t want to rush into marriage: “To me, marriage symbolizes the best relationship. People be like, ‘When y’all gonna get married?’ I feel like having a relationship is first and foremost, and marriage is a byproduct of that.

“A lot of people get the idea of like, ‘Oh, you have to get married.’ But to me, that’s almost a fear-based way of thinking because then people be getting divorced. The divorce rate is so fucking high.”

Sean insisted that he isn’t ruling out marrying his Twenty88 collaborator, but “there’s a lot of work that needs to be done in general.”

“She and I both have to be on the same page,” he added. “Not to say we aren’t. I can only speak for myself that there needs to be more work done so we can keep going. Because there’s a lot of focus on our family and careers and everything, and that is something that I feel like has not been the main focus.”

Lil Durk Raises Eyebrows With 'Free Durk' Merch Prices: 'Bro Tryna Afford Bail'

image

Lil Durk has been criticized for selling “Free Durk” merchandise at high prices while he sits behind bars on murder for hire charges.

Durk’s team announced a collection of clothing in support of the rapper who is being held in jail without bail.

The shirts and hoodies, both of which are emblazoned with the slogan “Free Durk,” are retailing for $45 and $95 respectively.

The price points led to fierce criticism from fans who claimed that were being exploited by the rapper and his team.

One commented: “The $95.00 for a made in China hoodie is crazy work.”

Another fan said: “Should add an extra 10 years for these damn prices….”

One fan also joked: “Nobody wants that shit keep him locked up.”

Durk is currently being held in Los Angeles after pleading not guilty to murder for hire charges.

He may be released on bond after a December 12 hearing, though prosecutors are strongly opposed because the rapper was allegedly trying to flee the country before he was arrested.

Lil Durk was initially hit with one charge of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire over an alleged murder plot that killed the cousin of his rap rival Quando Rondo.

However, in a superseding indictment filed on November 7, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California charged Durk with two more crimes: one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and one count of using, carrying and discharging firearms and a machine gun and possession of such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.

The superseding indictment also adds the Grammy-winning rapper as the lead defendant to the initial indictment in the case, which charged five other men over the killing.

According to prosecutors, the attempt on Quando Rondo’s life that killed Lul Pab was payback for the murder of King Von, who was fatally shot during a scuffle with the Quando’s crew two years prior.

Lil Durk is accused of putting a bounty on Rondo’s head and providing money and resources to members of his OTF (Only The Family) crew to carry out the hit.

He faces the prospect of life in prison if convicted.
