Ice Spice has clapped back at the haters, and she used SpongeBob SquarePants to do it.
On Friday (December 6), the Bronx star posted a carousel of photos to Instagram. One of the final pictures was a meme of a gross-looking SpongeBob saying, “Nah she mid bro.”
Not long afterwards, she shared the meme to her IG Story, though the post is now deleted.
Check it out below.
Most people took the SpongeBob meme to be Ice getting back at people who have been taking shots at her looks, especially since she began sporting a noticeably slimmer figure in recent months.
That change led to rumors that the “Munch” rapper was taking controversial weight loss drug Ozempic. She hit back at those rumors over the summer by posting a workout video.
The Bronx rapper’s workout video saw her working a lot of weights, while mixing in some cardio and exercises that strengthen her core.
In true Ice Spice fashion, she also offered some thirst trap yoga poses.
She pointedly captioned the video: “We beatin them allegations bae.”
Around the same time, she criticized those who have been talking about her body.
She said on X Spaces: “I actually came on here to talk about that real quick. I wish y’all never learned the word Ozempic. That’s one thing I wish. Oh my God! Like, what even is Ozempic? What the fuck is that? Genuinely, what is that?”
Spice added: “You lazy-ass bitches never heard of a gym? It’s called the gym, it’s called eating healthy, it’s called being on tour. Like, what the hell? Maybe if I was sitting at home all fucking day, it’d be easier to stay big.”
Sexyy Red came to Ice Spice’s defense after people started commenting on her apparent weight loss.
Addressing the rumors that Spice was taking weight loss medication, Sexyy remarked: “Y’all act like people can’t b stressed or not eat as much and she still look good so next…”
