A$AP Rocky Confirms Rihanna Is Back In The Recording Studio

Taking Back Sunday will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their popular album ‘Louder Now’ with a newly expanded edition.

The New York rock band’s third studio record reaches the milestone later this year. Craft Recordings will issue the anniversary version on October 16, with advance orders available here.

Alongside the initial collection of songs, including ‘MakeDamnSure’, ‘Twenty-Twenty Surgery’ and ‘Liar (It Takes One To Know One)’, the release will include two additional tracks called ‘Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something)’ and ‘Sleep’.

Both bonus songs will appear on a special 7 inch record packaged with the vinyl version and will also feature on the deluxe CD. Available LP designs include Silver Screen, a limited clear and glitter variant sold through the online shop, an exclusive burgundy Craft Recordings edition and several others.

The announcement arrived today, August 5, during one of Taking Back Sunday’s busiest touring years. The band has appeared at all five returning Vans Warped Tour events and performed a series of concerts alongside Bayside.

Their upcoming schedule includes appearances at Louder Than Life, Shaky Knees and other festivals. They will perform their third album from beginning to end at Riot Fest, followed by a major headline concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre that will also feature ‘Louder Now’ in full.

Adam Lazzara, John Nolan and Shaun Cooper have asked guitarist and singer Fred Mascherino to rejoin them for these performances. Mascherino was part of the Taking Back Sunday lineup during the creation of ‘Louder Now’.

“Our record ‘Louder Now’ represents a huge milestone for me, and to know it has made an impact on so many other people’s lives as well is something I still struggle to get my head around,” said frontman Lazzara.

“To have the opportunity to celebrate that record with both John Nolan and Fred Mascherino on stage together, along with Shaun Cooper, is incredible to me. The songs sound stronger than I can ever remember live, and I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to share that with everyone.”

Taking Back Sunday released ‘Keep Going’ in 2023, while Lazzara and Nolan also spoke about their album ‘152’.

“There’s something a little more shiny to this record, but it’s still rough around the edges just because it’s us,” the singer said. “I always thought we were just a loud rock’n’roll band, but there’s so much more to it than that, especially when you listen to ‘152’.”

Lazzara explained that his musical outlook changed after he became more open to styles such as pop. “When I was younger, I wouldn’t even listen to Led Zeppelin because it wasn’t punk enough. It was so dumb,” he added. “As time has gone on, I’ve realised, it doesn’t matter where the music has come from or who’s doing it. Good is good. You can’t mess with Harry Styles’ last album [‘Harry’s House’].”
